Lauttainfo Greece belongs to lauttainfo.com, an independent group of country guides to ferries that started with the road ferries of Finland. This one is written in English for travellers planning island crossings in Greece. It is not connected with any shipping company, port authority, travel agency or ministry, it does not sell tickets, and advertising on the pages pays for it.
Greek ferry information is plentiful but scattered. Departures are spread across company websites, booking engines and port notices, and the same route may be run by several companies with different ships. Each page here sticks to what a named company publishes, says which ship type it is, and gives the port at each end with its coordinates.
Every figure is read from the shipping company's own pages on a stated day, and a copy of the page is saved. Calendars and fares in Greece are often published date by date, so when a page shows a sample of dates or a fare seen for a given day, it says so instead of presenting it as a fixed timetable. Numbers that only appear on resellers' sites, or that two official sources give differently, are left out and the gap is explained.
Each route carries the date it was checked and the date by which it will be checked again, and routes that change with the season are reviewed before the next season starts.
Found a departure or a fare that no longer matches? Write to [email protected] with the route and what you saw. Changes are made after the company's own information confirms them.
