Short car-ferry crossings link Kyllini, on the western Peloponnese, with Zakynthos and with Poros on Kefalonia, and a shorter hop joins Sami on Kefalonia with Pisaetos on Ithaca.
Kyllini, on the coast of the Peloponnese, is the mainland port for both Zakynthos and Kefalonia. The Kefalonia boat arrives at Poros, a small port on the island's south-east coast, not to be confused with the island of Poros in the Saronic Gulf.
Levante Ferries runs all three: the two crossings from the same harbour at Kyllini, and the Sami – Ithaca ferry, a leg of its line from Patras. Each has its own timetable, holiday dates and fare, so each route page gives its own.
