Sami on Kefalonia and Pisaetos on Ithaca are the two island ports of Levante Ferries' line from Patras, and the short leg between them has its own rows in the company's timetable. Levante writes the Ithaca end as Ithaca (Pisaetos), which makes Pisaetos, and not the island's main town, the place where this ferry ties up. The period now on the page runs from 3 September 2026 to 8 January 2027.
Within it there are two departures in each direction, the same on every day of the week: 07:05 and 16:45 from Sami, 07:40 and 17:15 from Pisaetos. The 07:40 from Ithaca is also listed as Ithaca – Sami – Patra, so it continues from Sami to the mainland. Under the table Levante makes two exceptions, Friday 25 December 2026 and Friday 1 January 2027, when nothing sails on the line.
The same four times were first published for 3 September to 31 October 2026 and now carry through to early January. Levante's list prices a regular adult ticket for the hop at €4.50 per single journey, unchanged since October and identical in the English and Greek versions. The Sami–Ithaca fare: €4.50 for an adult
Levante prices the Sami – Pisaetos leg separately from the rest of the line: €4.50 for a regular passenger under a 'One way' heading, with no return fare shown. The Greek list gives the same amount under Μετάβαση. Levante calls every figure on its list a price after discount and keeps the right to change it without warning.

Where you board in Sami and land on Ithaca
Both ramps handle vehicles and people on foot. Because Sami also handles the boats to and from Patras, the ticket, not the quay, tells you which ship is yours.
Sami (Kefalonia)
Sami is also the Kefalonia port for Levante's Patras sailings, so boats for the mainland and for Ithaca leave from the same harbour: check that the destination on your ticket reads Ithaca (Pisaetos). Drivers are expected in the waiting area an hour ahead of the 07:05 or the 16:45.
Pisaetos (Ithaca)
On Ithaca this ferry uses Pisaetos, the name Levante prints in brackets after the island in its timetable and price list. The two departures back to Kefalonia are at 07:40 and 17:15; the morning one carries on from Sami to Patras.

Getting a ticket and boarding at Sami
- Buy before you reach the quay
Levante sells no passenger or car tickets aboard its ships, so yours has to come from Levante's website, a partner travel agency or its call centre before you set off for Sami or Pisaetos.
- Thirty minutes on foot, sixty with a car
Turn up on foot 30 minutes before the boat leaves; with a car, be in the vehicle waiting area 60 minutes before. Both times come from Levante's terms.
- A ticket for the dog too
On this line every animal needs a ticket issued with its passport or health-booklet number and microchip number. Pets under 10 kg stay with their owner in a carrier; heavier ones travel in the ship's cages.
- Under-15s need an adult
Levante will not carry anyone under 15 who travels without a parent or guardian, and 15- to 17-year-olds on their own must hand over the company's form plus a signed declaration.

Changes are posted as announcements on levanteferries.com. In 2026 the line saw weather cancellations in January, technical faults in March and September, and the strike of 30 October.
The Patras line behind the Ithaca hop
The Ithaca hop is one piece of a longer line. On the same table a ship leaves Patras at 13:00 for Sami and Pisaetos, another leaves Sami for Patras at 08:30, and the 07:40 from Pisaetos runs through Sami to Patras. Levante's terms state that routes between the islands are scheduled independently and that the company does not guarantee connections, so changing ships at Sami is something to plan with that warning in mind.
Fares on the longer legs are much higher: Levante lists €15.40 for an adult between Patras and Sami and the same between Patras and Pisaetos, against €4.50 between the two islands. Its announcements page shows what disrupts the line: weather cancelled or changed sailings on 5 and 8 January 2026, technical faults did so on 17 March and 3 September, and the seafarers' strike stopped the Ithaca – Sami – Patras sailings on 30 October.
